Endless loop login Azure microsoft Login. Cache keeps old token

Describe issue:
I have to do : MS SQL: "Clear Microsoft Entra account token cache" every time i use your tool or else im in a endless login loop that fail.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create an SQL connection to Azure, in another tenant client than main organisation account and save it
2. Use as normal and close VsCode
3. Wait a week and come back to that saved connection
4. Try reconnect. VsCode SQL loops when connecting and fails to connect

Expected Behavior:
Succes while connecting to SQL Azure

Actual Behavior:
Failed connection, can't use the tool unless token cache cleared.

Could this be the same as #22038 ?

@ltsyen I can't say if it is exactly the same, from what I know my problem seems to be link to multi tenants access, don't know if it is your case and its only linked to expiration? Also, my case does not resolve if i dont do "Clear Microsoft Entra account token cache" action, as its not documented in the other case #22038

Hey @Micael-stack and @ltsyen, thanks for filing this. We're in the middle of redoing part of the authentication stack, so you've likely hit something there.

• If you run Clear Microsoft Entra account token cache and restart VS Code, does the issue persist?
• Do you have mssql.enableExperimentalFeatures or mssql.preview.useVscodeAccountsForEntraMFA set to true? If not, could you try setting mssql.preview.useVscodeAccountsForEntraMFA: true, restarting VS Code, and trying again?
  • This will use accounts logged into VS Code for Entra MFA auth instead of the accounts that you previously signed into the MSSQL extension with, so you'll need to sign into them again, but it should be smoother going forward once you do!

@Benjin - runing Clear Microsoft Entra account token cache and restart VS Code fixes it. doesn't even need a restart of VSC

Hi @Benjin. Running like I sais the action "Clear Microsoft Entra account token cache" in Vscode does fix it. The only problem is i will come back in 7 days and the problem will show up again in VsCode.
