Is this project the successor to f5-common-python?

we are programming F5 BigIP products (LTM, GTM) via library f5-sdk. However, last commit of it was over 1 year ago. Then, I found you :D

Do you know if f5-sdk is still under developing? Can we switch to f5-sdk-python by having all the functionalities of f5-common-python?

Really sorry for the late reply. This is not a replacement for f5-sdk-pyhon. This SDK is focusing on our declarative API (AS3, DO and TS). It won't support all the different imperative calls supported by the f5-sdk

@vvoody if you are looking for imperative functionality but limited with the f5-common-python, there is a library created by a non-F5er called bigrest that fully supports BIG-IP and BIG-IQ. Its implementation is far less strict, but does require a little more of you with regards to endpoints. I've written about it on DevCentral and encourage you to take a look.
