To
The Microsoft Edge Team,
I am writing to highlight a significant limitation in the Android version of Microsoft Edge that directly affects developers and advanced users.
Currently, essential Developer Tools—such as Inspect Element, Console, Network monitoring, and related debugging utilities—are not available in the mobile browser. These tools are standard and highly effective in the desktop version of Edge, and their absence on Android creates a gap in functionality, especially for developers who need to test, debug, and analyze web applications on mobile environments.
Given the growing importance of mobile-first development, the lack of built-in Developer Tools in Edge for Android restricts productivity and forces reliance on alternative browsers or external workarounds. Integrating even a streamlined version of these tools would significantly enhance Edge’s utility and position it as a complete, developer-friendly browser across platforms.
I strongly recommend introducing Developer Tools support in Microsoft Edge for Android. This addition would greatly benefit developers and align the mobile browser more closely with its desktop counterpart.
Thank you for your continued efforts in improving Microsoft Edge. I hope this feature will be considered in future updates.
Sincerely,
B R Shriradhakrishnasharnam
